Produced in collaboration with the Best Practice Institute (BPI), a leading leadership development and research company, the News week the results of the list were determined after interviewing more than 800,000 employees of companies with workforce sizes ranging from 50 to over 10,000.

Methodology

Identify the top 100 companies for the News week ranking, companies were evaluated and rated as follows: 35% of initial score was based on employee survey responses; 25% come from the analysis of external public ratings of sites such as Comparably, Careerbliss, Glassdoor, Indeed and Google; and 40 percent came from direct interviews and written responses from company representatives. News week then conducted additional research on each company on the list, as well as the top finalists, to determine the final list of 100 companies and their ranking. (The list includes both American companies and companies with a strong presence in the United States and based abroad.)
